There's so much more to looking your best - looking great - than you've read about in books and magazines.
And as women, we struggle with so many questions about appearance and personal style!
Perhaps you want to understand more about makeup. Or maybe you're sick and tired of feeling like you have nothing to wear. Or you could want more confidence in your shopping choices.
Whatever your question might be, there are three fundamental steps to Appearance by Design.
Color is the foundation
The popular versions of color analysis are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to real personal transformation.
Of course your skin tone and eye and hair color are important. But the color of your personality - the essence of who you are - is just as important. And that means taking into account your lifestyle, your values, what you love to have around you, and the things you love to do.
Choosing the right colors for your clothing and makeup makes a profound difference in how you look, how you feel, and how others respond to you.
Having your colors done is an investment in your life! As ladies, we're always looking at clothes, at our own clothes, at our peers' clothes - we're always looking. I would say the one piece of advice I would give someone who's thinking about working with Bev is, why not? Why not give her a try? You don't need to feel obligated to fall in love with it right away the way I did!

Seeing your body in a new light
It's like magic - simply dressing for your body's silhouette and proportions can make you look ten years younger and ten pounds lighter!
And that's very good news, because it means you don't have to wait for that future (and let's face it, slightly mythical) point when you're at the perfect weight. You can make friends with your body and look great now. Discovering what's beautiful for you means seeing yourself in a whole new light. And hearing your friends say how great you look gives you a wonderful boost of confidence.
There were times I may have said something a little judgmental about my body, and Bev would find a way to bring it around to something positive. She's very mindful about how she uses words when she speaks with you about your body. It's always in the positive, it's always supportive. I felt safe. So, you know, it helped me with my acceptance of my body.

Discovering your unique personal style - and professional image
It's exciting when you finally really understand your colors and your silhouette.
But even the best chocolate cake isn't much fun without rich, fudgy frosting.
Your style - your style, not your mom's or your sister's or your best friend's - is what brings it all together ... and gives you a deep sense of coming home to who you truly are.
What was really interesting in working with Bev was how she took into consideration not only my body composition, but who I am. She got into, what kind of person do you think you are? What kind of clothing do you feel comfortable in? What sort of work do you do?

These three steps are the basis of Appearance by Design.
You've probably explored each of them at different times.
Bringing them together with real understanding makes all the difference.
From here, exploring and editing your closet and makeup case, understanding exactly what's right when you go shopping - it's a piece of cake! (A luscious chocolate cake, made just for you!)
I get a lot of compliments. They don't say, "That's a pretty top," they say, "You look fabulous!" I feel like that's because she's put it all together to make it reflect my best look!

Bev introduced me to who I am and how I perceive myself. She helped me define what I was looking for, even before I had it defined in my mind. She very patiently and kindly guided me along, and through the process I arrived at knowing more about myself.
